March came along, and so did another episode of ‘Confessions Of A Crafter’ - starring our very own Arya Lovekar (Teacher) and Kavya Vijaysankar (Volunteer Head). This one tackles overambition and couldn’t be more relatable. Head up in the clouds and hands busy with projects we know we’ll struggle to complete - sounds about right.
Don’t worry, we haven’t forgotten about ‘Saturday Knit Live’! We had some incredible guests this month. Our first SKL guest was Ms. Vimala of the mother-daughter duo - ViVa Crochet.
She gave us a peek behind the scenes and shared some fun anecdotes. We had another episode of SKL international with Amali from the Westwood Knitting Club who told us about her crocheting journey and her experience at the club. Next, we spoke to Ms. Seema/LovingNeedle about crochet, her brand and what the future holds for both. If you’ve been sleeping on these episodes, we’ll link you up so that you don’t miss out!

Reels. Reels. Reels. The SAS team decided to step in front of the lens and jumped in on some incredibly fun trends. We may be a bunch of craft nerds but that has never stopped us! Only now, we’re influential craft nerds - ‘telepatía’ by Kali Uchis is eternally stuck in our heads, too.
The Mars Jupiter Pattern. Our very own competition! 14 days and 14 new patterns. We released a crochet tutorial every day for 2 weeks with a fun, new crochet pattern for participants to try. The stakes? High! We’re a charity after all, we’re good at giving. All participants that successfully complete the challenges are shortlisted and our judges pick the winners! The winners all get a lovely crochet essentials, prize basket, full of all the crochet goodies a crafter could dream of - courtesy of Furls FiberArts. From the Moss Stitch to the Side Saddle Stitch - the MJP projects were a RIDE! April, aren’t you excited to meet the winner?!
With the MJP, came the SAS YouTube channel. All of the tutorials for the MJP patterns needed a home and so we gave them one! Our teachers at SAS worked hard on those tutorials and they only have one request - pick up those needles and
